I hope you all enjoyed your vacation and had a restful week,
I can't wait to welcome you all back tomorrow :)

Our Weekend News is always an exciting way to share with our friends a little part of ourselves.  We always look forward to pictures and stories!

Mariella practiced her split that she learned in gymnastics, and the entire class tried to do it as well!

Shimon finished an entire puzzle from the beginning to the end!

Arik helped his parents to do shopping and laundry, and afterwards enjoyed a scooter ride with his sister!

Ben while visiting his grandparents, was fascinated with the bridge they crossed, he brought in a picture to share the experience!

Mark had a great time playing with his sister!

Naomi enjoyed a show and art and crafts activities with her family!

Show and Tell for the letter "S" included:
Saxophone,   Strawbery Sticks, Shells, School Bus, Snakes, Seal, Screw driver, Sweater, Spices, Salt, Stick, Spoons, and a Scarf.
We learned that letter S has a special friend, letter H. When they come to play together, they make their very own sound. We played a game of pictionary, while identifying different words that have "S" and "SH" sounds. It was so much fun!!!

Reviewing letters, sounding them out, practicing writing and sounding them out, building them out of shapes; all while playing games and having a good time!!!

 Measuring our entire room!

Exploring different tools and what they used for.

Discovering electriclal tape in Mr. Gena's tool box, discussing what it is used for, and just how strong it is!

Going to work and and trying out an electrical screw driver!!!

Kids talked about eating out, restaurants and pizza parlors. Thus, the next morning we decided to open our very own "cafe de pre-k." With some help from my friends we brainstormed about the people who work in the restaurants and some things we might need, and in no time we had chefs, waiters, and of course the lucky guests. On the menu for breakfast was warm toast with a choice of cream cheese and cheese and hot chocolate!!! Yuuuuuum!!!

 Letter "J"

"Show and Tell" for the letter J included:
Jewish Star, Jeans, Jeeps, Jet, and a Jar.

Playing a game of catch while brainstorming words that begin with the letter of the week!

Have a wonderful night and a great Week,
with love,
Morah Rebecca :)

Alef Bais

We are moving along with the Alef Bais letters and we are now up to the 13th letter, the letter Chof. To help us remember the letters, we formed the letters with our bodies, we practiced making the letters on the board, and every student searched in our classroom to find objects they can make the letter with. We had some very creative ideas:)

Parsha Lesson

This past week we learnt the story of the Parsha which spoke about the decree of King Pharoah against the Jewish males and how Moshe was put in the basket in the river to hide. We had a great puppet show to reenact the story.
