Dear Parents and my Classroom Cuties !!!
During
the past week we were busy reviewing the Letter "F". We had fire
fighters join us for a special show and tell circle. Our treasure chest
had to grow from a small shoe box to a giant container thanks to our
young explorers. Our once shy volunteers turned into excited and eager
participants who can't wait to show off their newly discovered treasure
to their friends. Thank you so much for your support and
encouragement.
Furthermore,
we have discussed the differences between circle and an oval. We
practiced creating a circle donat out of play dough and stretching it
into an oval shape.
Stopping
for a moment to the smell the " F F F Flower." Sounding out the letters
is a very important component in spelling and reading.
Remembering to form the letters from top to botton.
Practicing writing while maintaining our three finger grip, well done!!!
Number 1 was on our next agenda. We discussed 0 and 1, it's relationship to each other, as well as concepts of more and less.

"Thing 1" we were able to once again reinforce the concept by spying it out of the crowd :)
following
day I brought one of my kids' favorite books about pete the cat and his
brand new shoes. No matter what he stepped into, he kept walking along
and singing his song, still loving his shoes. It's ok to explore, it's
ok to spill, make mistakes, and learn on the job as long as we get up
and try againg!!! The following day, someone spilled once more,
remembering the story and speaking out loaud he said " it's ok, i'll
pore a little less next time, i am not gong to cry, while cleaning up
the mess. The book was a great hit!!!
Our Birthdays are always so much Fun!!!
Happy Birthday Manya!!!
We take turns helping each other prepare a delicious Birthday snack.
Mesuring, sequencing,

mixing,
and discussing it all!!!

Can't wait for the "show and tell" for the letter "E" on Wednesday.
P.S. We are starting a landing library where children can borrow books home at their leisure. If anyone has any books they do not need, that are age appropriate and in good condition, we would love to have it to expand our library.
On Monday we discuss what everyone did over the weekend, if you happen to snap a picture of it (if it's not too much trouble) email it to me on Sunday so that we can have an actual visual, to further our discussions,
thanking you in advance,
Morah Rebecca :)
