  Everyone loves
sharing their "Weekend news!!!"

Our first Community Trip Outing to a Pizza Parlor!!!
We got to be chefs creating our very own master piece pizza!!!

After running a restaurant of our own, and having some experience hosting guests, we talked about what goes into running a Pizza Shop. The menu, workers, keeping the place organized and neat, having a master chef, and the most important ingredient - a friendly, smiling face :)

Demanding the pizza dough :)

Having Fun in the Dramatic Center.

Show and Tell for the letter "P"
The items included: Pinkalicious,  Pumpkin, Pretzel, Puppy, Pizza, Pencil, Pirate, Panda, Peach, Pony, Prince and Princess, Pluto the smallest planet, Pomegranate, Picture frame, Pinguin, Pogo stick, Pine cone, Piggy, Persimmon, Pop corn, Pickles.

We read a book about Pinkalicious, a girl who loved the color pink. While reading the book we learned some very important lessons:
how hurtful words of friends can make us feel - we are working on being sensitive to each others feelings during play, work, and down time; making new friends, and understanding that each of us has certain character and interests which in turn make us unique and shape us into who we are.
Thank you for sharing a great story :)

While reading books it's a great idea to encourage asking questions such as:
Based on the picture what do you think will happen next?
Retelling the sequence of events,
How does a character feel? - emotions.
Adding a personal touch to a story by asking to relate to it or creating a personalized ending.

This week we got another special treat, we were invited to the Nursery Bakery!!!
They treated us to delicious raisin cookies, Yuuuuuum!!!
Thank you!!!

Everyone finished their cookies to the very last bite!!!

On Friday, to finish off the week, Morah told us a story a bout visiting Mr. P's Birhday Party. It was a fun event till we brought out the birthday cake. All of a sudden Mr. P's smile faded into a frown. Cake was not his favorite food. We needed help from my Pre-k friends to figure out how to save the day, and make Mr. P happy again.  It was a piece of cake, I mean to solve the mystery - we threw Mr. P a real birthday surprise with Pickles and Pop corn, and brought back his smile!

Wishing my Pre-K Family a great and successful week,
With Love,
Morah Rebecca :)

P.S. Our classroom landing library is officially open!!!  It's a great habit to be encouraged, feel free to borrow on any day!!!
