After sharing many hugs from our long winter brake, we started off with morning circle phone calls and weekend news!!! Everyone had so much fun sharing, that we completely forgot about the time.

Next on the agenda was the continuation of our  Community theme - our school.
We talked about how hard everyone works to insure that we as a class have everything we need,
thus, giving back to our community was our next topic.
We discussed how our parents give back to the community: by helping out in our school, giving tzedakkah (charity), and simply by saying "thank you!"
We decided to say "thank you" to those special people in our community in our very own special way: we rolled up our sleeves and went to work!!!

We also got an opportunity to interview our `principal, Morah Chanie.
We asked her about her job, her responsibilities and thanked her for everything that she does for us with our home made waffles :)

Letter of the week "D"
Show and Tell
Items included were: Donut, Dog, Drum, Drill, Dolphin, Dreidel, Diana, and Dinosaur and Drangon!

While making waffles for our community helpers, we decided that it would be a good idea to open our very own "Cafe-K" and invite Morahs and friends for a delicious treat. We discussed our menu, workers, jobs, and responsibilities.

However, without realizing our menu included: making new friends, taking care of others, practicing our speech while offering tea, waffles, milk, and syrup, being brave in a new situation, regulating personal feelings and stepping up to the challenge!!!
The sense of pride and achievement in the classroom was overwhelmingly palpable!!!

On Thursday we got to meet the "Master Backer" of Mazal, she single-handedly prepares the challah dough for the entire school -  the amazing Morah Bella!!!
This time she was not alone, the entire pre-k class participated in the great mitzva of making challah!!! What an experience!!!

Thank you Morah Bella for a step by step instruction on how to make challah,
it was hard work,
and so much fun!!!

Wishing everyone only enjoyable experiences
and a great week!
With Love,
Morah Rebecca:)
