Keeping Up with Pre-K 1 Friends

What an Exciting Week We've had!!!

We met with an Author and Illustrator Amalia Hoffman, went to the Fire Station, met Policeman, and enjoyed a Book Fair!!! Wow!!!

This week we had a pleasure of meeting a children's book author and illustrator Amalia Hoffman. She taught us the magic behind writing books. It all begins with an idea and imagination. Then we had to close our eyes and make our own magic by writing and illustrating our own stories. We all had sooooooo much fun!!!

Somehow the year is flying by, and our little cuties are maturing into team players, language masters, and simply good friends. This week the class naturally separated themselves into groups, collaboratively working on projects; all Morahs had to do was observe with pleasure and take pictures!!! So Proud of Pre-K1!!!

After reviewing our shapes, we made our very own fire trucks from: a rectangles, trapezoid, circles, and semi circles :)

Morah Rivki introduced a "Jar of Good Deeds." Being good friends and listeners to Morahs, we will fill up our jar and as a reward when it's full, will get a class pet!!!

Visit By the Police!!!

The class got a chance to meet with Police Officers, ask them about their job, their uniform, ammunition, even got a chance to sit in a police van!!!

Our trip to the Fire Station!!!

We discussed Fire Fighters' clothes; each item of their gear is there to protect them from heat, fire and smoke. One of the Fireman demonstrated what they look like when they rescue people from fire, he stressed the importance of not being afraid of the gear, and in case of an emergency to always come when they call!!!
