We began our week with our "weekend news!" We had our community helpers Mariella, Arik and Inna, clean the Holocaust Memorial Park, Mark shared a ride with his sister in his car and got a new belt in karate, Shimon enjoyed a delicious donat and went tumbling on the trampoline, and Naomi and her family visited the botanical garden. Our participants got to sit in the Morah's chair and talk about what they did over the weekend, the entire class enjoyed looking at pictures and asking related questions.
Letter of the Week "I"
We were visited by Ike the Iguana, who brought ice cream, and pictures of igloo, ice burg, and ice scatting.
Our "show and tell" was a big success!!!
Inna, insect, instrument, icing, ice scatting, ice cream and a picture of Ilona - Emma's Mommy created a vivid experience for the letter "I."
The next day we celebrated Naomi's English Birthday with a delicious treat!!!
Happy Birthday Noami!!!
Our next project was the igloo and letter "I" stencil made out of colorful pasta :)
While doing our projects we sing a song about a letter I, emphasizing it's sound.
We used glue, some shaving cream and food coloring to make the ice snow feel.
Letter Stencils
At the end of the week we reviewed all the letters we have learned so far using our wooden sticks!
The most important part of learning is always having a good time,
and that's what we do best!!!
Wishing everyone an easy and successful week,
Love,
Morah Rebecca :}
